Hello.
Five. Years. Running. That mark has been reached. Unlike the previous years, I won't focus on the last year, but the spirit of the last five years of this thing we call 75.
Firstly, I will start internally. There are 256 'graphers who have blessed us with over 15,280 photographs that we viewed 5,234,261 times; we showed our love of their work 52,424 times and we put that in words 96,096 times — I suppose it is true that a photograph is a thousand words, huh. Officially we collaborated on 7 themes, but before it was automated we had at least 4-5 themes a year.
In the 5 years we have seen the world through their eyes, we have become friends, lovers and business partners. Moved from amateurs to professional photographers, no doubt 'bout that. We have exhibited collectively and individually ±6 times (my memory is failing me on the exact number). Showcased in multiple mediums (radio, print, online, award thingy-magics and I think tv, but I can't remember).
Before I get into the analytical data, what is absolutely true is this:
all these moments were created solely because of the 'graphers — love and respect.
And,
mad love for every single person that comes here and enjoys the artwork.
With that, emo moment, here is the analytic data of the last 5 years:
Where is everybody from:
The numbers are:
The most used tags are, in order of usage (corrected)
johannesburg, cape town, light, sky, sunset, clouds, reflection, alexandra, newtown, black and white, love, portrait, people, township, girl
The popular cameras:
That should do it — I had extracted all the pixels on each photograph, sometime last year so I can compile a "more photographic" visualisation. I am still on it. (famous last words, huh?)
Word — to pushing more pixels.
1ove, you.
Hello, Anybody here? First things first, the new edition of 75 will take quite sometime to finish. I had planned, last year, to sync it with the coming 5th year, but it appears that won't happen. I am working on a few things, one of them, how to genera […]
Hello! I know I don't normally write as regular as some "web 2.0 guide" sites would suggest. But, I as momma would say, only speak when you have something to say — although I wonder what her thoughts would be about twitter. Alas, this is the second mon […]
Hello, Hello, Hello! Welcome to the new year — without a shadow of a doubt, personally, business-wise, 2011 was a kak-year, and from my engagement with other people, it appears the sentiment is mutual. Alas, this is another year — if predictions are […]
Hello, Yet another year is closer to an end — I am not particularly sure how to feel about this year, but I know what I have in mind for next year and I also know I am far from the norm of how things are supposed to run. But, before I get into my pseud […]
